Delete a paired device
On your TV, open Settings and select Unpair device. Confirm the action. This immediately deletes the paired device record and device-scoped diagnostic logs from OpenPlayer’s server, and removes the provider configuration, favorites, PIN, and playback preferences stored locally in the app on that TV.
Delete local app data
Unpairing removes OpenPlayer’s local configuration. You can also uninstall OpenPlayer or clear its app data through your TV or Android device settings.
Request deletion of support or feedback data
If you sent a support message or feedback and want it removed, use the contact method on our Privacy Policy and include enough detail for us to locate the submission. We will delete the requested support or feedback data unless we need to retain it for a legitimate legal or security reason.
What may be retained
- OpenPlayer does not retain provider credentials or playlists. Pairing credentials are end-to-end encrypted and relayed only to a connected TV.
- Diagnostic logs are deleted automatically after 7 days.
- Resolved support conversations are deleted automatically after 90 days.
- If a device was blocked for abuse, its hardware identifier can remain on a security blocklist until the block is reviewed or removed. You can request a review through the Privacy Policy contact method.
For more detail, read our Privacy Policy.
